Preparation
Exfoliate and do any shaving
24 hrs. Before Each Session to Remove Dry, Flaky Skin. (any waxing should be done no less than 2 days prior). Avoid using bar soaps, high pH shower products or in-shower moisturizers. These
products can halt the DHA bronzing reaction or cause the dreaded orange effect. Also, elevated body temperature, perspiration or excessive moisture on the skin can hinder DHA development and results.
STOP! DO NOT APPLY LOTION
Do not apply lotions, moisturizers or perfumes prior to your session. Use deodorant sparingly. It is best not to apply make-up, but if you do so, carefully remove make-up prior to your session.
Day of Session Wear Dark, Loose Fitting Clothing and remove jewelry. Tight clothing can rub off or smear bronzers, especially around the knees, elbows and waist.
Maintenance
Following Spray Tan Application Avoid Sweating! Avoid actives that may cause you to sweat excessively and possibly cause streaking of the cosmetic bronzers. Use the air conditioning in your car on a hot day. Remember your skin has just been tented with a water-soluble solution.
Avoid Water, Pools & Spas!
You must avoid water entirely for at least 4-hours or you will deactivate DHA development and/cause streaking. Avoid chemically treated pools and spas for at least 24-hours to prevent color from prematurely fading.
Wait to Shower!
For maximum results, wait at least 8-hours before showering or bathing. Bathe with plain water only for the first 16-hours after your session to avoid fading and stripping of your instant color. Pat skin dry with a towel, do not rub. After 16-hours we recommend using a mild pH Balancing shower gel.
DO NOT BE ALARMED
The instant cosmetic bronzers will wash off - as designed. Shower water may appear slightly tinted during the first or second shower, however the DHA tan is not washing away. After your first shower, moisturizer is your best friend. Hydrated skin will extend the length of your tan.
